Three Rohingya teenagers were found not guilty in a torture case that left eight Myanmar migrants dead in April.
The boys are identified as IKH, 16; MY; 15; and MH, 16.
Presiding judge Lebanus Sinurat at the Medan District Court in North Sumatra said there was no evidence or witnesses who saw the three defendants involved in the fight.
Previously, prosecutors sought a two-year imprisonment for the three defendants. On April 5, eight Myanmar fishermen were killed in a violent incident involving hundreds of Rohingya refugees at the Immigration Detention Center (Rudenim) in Belawan, just outside Medan.
Police named 17 Rohingya migrants as suspects in the incident.
