our comments on the red handed arrest of the head of the Upstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Special Task Force (SKKMigas), Rudi Rubiandini, who was known as Mr Clean, for allegedly accepting bribes:
Corruption is not restricted to 'government officials and political elites'.
Greed and corruption are equally prevalent in private industry and yes, I have also heard many stories of expats putting their grubby little hands out for a 'gratuity'.
There would certainly be a dramatic decline in sales of branded handbags, electronic gadgets, cars and trips to Singapore and Bali if there was no corruption.

How could Rudi Rubiandini be chosen as an exemplary teacher at the Bandung Institute of Tech-nology?
The Education and Culture Minister Muhammad Nuh should sack him and strip him off his professorship.
Otherwise nobody would trust the ministry as the prime force of character education.

Again and again we have witnessed the pillaging of the country. We have to stand up and fight against these criminals. It's not bribery. It's criminal.

Mr Clean has been washing his hands too often with too strong a detergent. Now they look red. It is called contact dermatitis.

A change of amour from oil and gas to the Upstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Special Task Force is an
excuse by the ruling party to put Mr Clean there.
Human beings are greedy. Oil is considered black gold in the old west.
Mr Clean hasn't tasted this black gold. Shame on him!

Bribes are a way of life in Indonesia. All government departments accept red envelopes, some more than others.
The big fish appear clean the small fish collect the envelopes and feed the big fish.

The reason that this country is still surviving is because this country still has natural resources and while natural resources finish after eight to 10 years then this country will definitely become bankrupt.
The Indonesian government must change their attitude to refrain from corruption. If the Indonesian government continues to be corrupt and ignore its citizens then just wait and see what happens eight to 10 years later.
