adjah Mada University (UGM) and the Korea Transport Institute (KOTI) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on public transportation research on Monday afternoon.
The MoU was signed by UGM rector Pratikno and KOTI president Kim Gyeng-chul. It covered the safety of road users, smart transportation system, railway transportation, logistics, aviation, urban transportation, public transportation, economic transportation and various other related issues.
'We will collaborate on research and studies related to public transportation over the next three years,' Pratikno said.
As an initial step, both parties would conduct exchanges of lecturers, scientists, experts and students while the collaboration on research, joint research, publications and scientific information was still being discussed.
Meanwhile, Kim said the collaboration was expected to improve the qualities of human resources and research and be beneficial for both parties.
