undreds of people from Sukmajaya village and dozens of members of the youth organization Pemuda Pancasila (PP) thronged the Depok District Court building and demanded the court to execute an order on 33-hectares of land belonging to villagers, as it had already been decided by the court.
The villagers and PP arrived at court when they heard the court planned to suspend the land execution order. They damaged a number of court rooms, causing the suspension of several court sessions.
The Depok District Court called on the police to carry out a thorough investigation. Lukmanul Hakim, spokesman for the district court, said as quoted by tempo.co that the execution order, which was suspended for hours due to technical and administrative reasons, was completed.
The execution order was conducted by the court in connection with the recent verdict of the court, which saw villagers win a land dispute with the Communications and Information Ministry.
