omposer Addie MS is in high spirits after his Indonesian folk music album -- The Sound of Indonesia -- made it to number one on the iTunes chart.
In a tweet on Friday, Addie shared a screen capture of the iTunes global music chart, which showed his album in top position. The album, released last year, is a compilation of 25 folk and traditional songs from across the archipelago played by Addie MS and the Twilite Orchestra.
Among the compositions are "Bengawan Solo" from Central Java, "Anging Mamiri" from North Sulawesi and Aceh's "Bungong Jeumpa."
Produced by flag carrier Garuda Indonesia, the songs are played on its flights. Addie said the achievement was even more special because the album bore the name "Indonesia".
