National Police Sr. Comr. Rana S. Permana said that WH was detained late on Monday around the Sungai Raya Langsa area.
'From the suspect, we have confiscated an S&W revolver, three bullets, three bullet shells and two cell phones,' Rana said at National Police's headquarters in South Jakarta on Wednesday.
On Sept. 18, WH fired a bullet at Langsa Police officer Brig. Syahri Rahmat, who caught him selling drugs.
'The suspect was one of the prisoners who escaped from the North Sumatra Police [in March],' Rana said.
At that time, the North Sumatra Police had taken WH into custody for the illegal possession of a firearm.
Rana said that Syahri was still receiving intensive treatment at Columbia Asia Hospital in Medan, North Sumatra. Syahri sustained severe injuries around his waist.
'There is a possibility that he might be paralyzed. The medical team will work to bring his condition back to normal,' he added.
