US Commerce Secretary Penny Pritzker and the Indonesian government's senior officials witnessed the signing of the business agreements.
Under the agreement, PT Fluidic Indonesia, a subsidiary of the US-based Fluidic Energy, will sell environmentally friendly batteries to mobile network operator Indosat for the latter's Base Transceiver Stations. Indosat has tested the batteries in the company's towers in Sumatra and Kalimantan.
Ormat Technologies Inc and PT Pacific GeoEnergy agreed to jointly develop a geothermal power plant in Sumbawa with total investment of about US$250 million Meanwhile, SunEdison and state-owned airport operator PT Angkasa Pura I will cooperate in the use of solar panels in the airports it operates, including Ngurah Rai (Bali), Sepinggan (Balikpapan), Juanda (Surabaya) and Hassanudin (Makassar).
