he Constitutional Court has declared theArief R Wismansyah and Sachrudin ticket as the winner of the Tangerangmayoral election with 340,000 votes. The pair was backed by the DemocraticParty, the National Awakening Party (PKB) and the Great Indonesia MovementParty (Gerindra).
'MK thereby instructs the Banten General Elections Commission (KPUD) to announce and install the elected ticket as the new Tangerang mayor and deputy mayor for 2013-2018,' presiding judge Hamdan Zoelva said on Tuesday.
The panel disqualified the Ahmad Marju Kodri-Gatot Soeprijanto ticket following the result of a recent inquiry jointly conducted by the court and the Banten General Elections Commission that concluded that the pair had received support from the People's Conscience Party (Hanura), which it deemed unconstitutional as the party officially supported the Harry Mulya Zain-Iskandar Zulkarnaen ticket.
