The Indonesian rupiah has weakened to more than Rp 12,000 per US Dollar, local banks show.
Data from Bank Mandiri, Indonesia's largest lender by assets, showed that the rupiah stood at Rp 12,037 per US dollar at 11:02 a.m. on Thursday, while data from Bank Central Asia (BCA) showed the local currency stood at Rp 12,040 per US dollar at the same time.
This is the worst performance of the rupiah since 2009. (hdt)
