ONE, South Sulawesi: A woman has filed a criminal complaint against her husband for allegedly robbing her of jewelry as she waited at a red light on the way to do some shopping with their daughter on Sunday.

Rosmani, 46, told police she knew perfectly well that the man on a motorbike who stopped next to her at a red light near their home was her estranged husband, Naing, 45.

'€œI had expected he would smile and say hello, but instead he snatched the 17 gram gold necklace I was wearing and sped away without uttering a word,'€ she said.

Rosmani told the police that she and her husband had gone their separate ways but were yet to formally divorce, with Naing having left home quite some time ago following a family spat.

Local police precinct spokesman Second Insp. Ahyar Usman said Rosmani'€™s claim that the robber was her husband was supported by her daughter, who was riding pillion when the robbery happened, kompas.com reported.

Bone is a regency in South Sulawesi province. The majority of Bone residents are farmers, fishermen and commercial gardeners.
