The BMKG has also forecast that moderate rain will fall throughout the capital on Saturday.
On Thursday, several parts of the city endured traffic jams and inundations. The water levels in front of Mangga Dua shopping center and on Jl. Gunung Sahari in North Jakarta, reached 20 to 40 centimeters. Run-off from rain that fell in Bogor, West Jakarta, also displaced over a thousand residents in Kampung Melayu, Jatinegara, East Jakarta.
Jatinegara district head Syofian said Kampung Melayu and Bidara Cina subdistricts had been flooded by 150 cm of water during the past four days.
