Dragonair to launch flights to Bali in April

H

ong Kong-based carrier, Dragonair, has announced that it will commence a twice-weekly service to Denpasar, Bali, starting April 27, 2014.

'€œThis adds one of the world'€™s most popular leisure destinations to Dragonair'€™s growing network and provides a new travel option for its passengers. Denpasar will become Dragonair'€™s first destination in Indonesia and will be the 15th destination to have been launched or resumed by the airline since April 2012,'€ Dragonair states in its official website.

An Airbus A330-300 aircraft in a two-class configuration, featuring the airline'€™s new Business Class and Economy Class cabins, will operate Dragonair'€™s Denpasar service. The provisional schedule indicates that the route will be served on Thursdays and Sundays.

'€œWe are very excited about launching flights to Denpasar. This new service will provide customers with greater choice and convenience at the same time as bolstering Hong Kong'€™s position as one of the world'€™s leading aviation hubs,'€ Dragonair Chief Executive Officer Patrick Yeung said as quoted in the statement.

Dragonair is a subsidiary of Hong Kong'€™s flag carrier, Cathay Pacific, and is an affiliate member of the Oneworld airline alliance. Cathay Pacific currently operates a daily service between Hong Kong and Bali.

Other airlines currently serving the route include Garuda Indonesia, Hong Kong Airlines, and Tigerair Mandala.
