Police to focus on remote polling stations in Jambi

police official with the Jambi Policehas said the police will focus on securing polling stations located in remote areasin Jambi. He said that according to the latest data, 895 out of 8,204 pollingstations are considered prone to security disruptions.

'€œUsually polling stations located in remote areas like Kerinci, Merangin, Tanjungjabung Timur and Tanjungjabung Barat are prone to issues,'€ Jambi Police spokesman Adj. Sr. Comr. Almansyah said on Saturday.

He said the police would place two police personnel assisted by four Community Protection (Linmas) officers for every two polling stations in category one prone areas.

As for extremely prone areas, or category two, two policemen and four Linmas officers would be watch one polling station.

'€œOur officers will make sure that everything is in order,'€ he said.(dic)
