T Toyota Astra Motor (TAM) is offering Kijang Kapsul owners discounts of up to 50 percent for brake pads and brake shoes.
The offer is for Kijang Kapsul models released between 1997 and 2004. TAM says that the success of the vehicle had inspired the company to offer the discounts.
Between December 1996 and November 2004, the company sold 377,045 Kijang Kapsuls.
With TAM's new discounts, Kijang Kapsul owners can enjoy after-sale services at low costs at authorized Toyota workshops across the country. The program is a continuation of a similar Toyota endeavor in 2012 involving oil and air filters.
'In order to promote the best customer experience and the idea that the customer always comes first, Toyota is showing its appreciation with these 50 percent discounts, so that their vehicles stay in top shape,' TAM general manager of corporate planning and public relations Widyawati was quoted as saying by Republika Online.
Brake pads that usually cost Rp 475,000 (US$42) will come down to Rp 206,000, while brake shoes originally priced at Rp 496,000 now sell for Rp 240,000.
