ndonesian shuttler Anthony Sinisuka Ginting marched into the semifinals of the BWF World Junior Championship but Jonathan Christie failed to follow suit.
Anthony avenged his loss to Kanta Tsuneyama at the Asian Junior Championships in February by beating the Japanese player 21-13, 21-5 in their quarterfinal match in Alor Setar, Malaysia, on Wednesday.
Jonatan Christie failed to live up to his status as the world's junior number one player as he fell 17-21, 18-21 to China's Lin Gui Pu.
In the doubles events, three Indonesian pairs also made it through to the semifinals.
