The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) weakened slightly by 0.1 percent to 4,893.15 in Wednesday's final trading session.
Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX) data showed 148 traded stocks weakened in the afternoon while 135 stocks strengthened and 89 stocks were unchanged.
The volume of transactions involved 5.18 billion shares, totaling Rp 5.73 trillion (US$492.78 million), kontan.co.id reported.
Shares across five sectors closed on a negative note, such as trade, which decreased by 0.37 percent, as well as basic industry and construction, which slowed by 0.81 percent and 0.92 percent, respectively.
Meanwhile, sectors like manufacturing and mining recorded a rise, of 5.23 percent and 2.4 percent respectively, in the closing session. (nfo)
