Indofood books 90% increase on Q1 profit

T Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk (INDF) has seen a significant increase of 90percent in its Q1 profits compared to the same period last year. The publicly listedcompany booked Rp 1.37 trillion in Q1 this year, Rp 647.64 billion more thanlast year's Q1.
Kontan.co.id reported on Wednesday that the profit increase was mainly backed by the company's net sale, which increased 26.32 percent or Rp 16.36 trillion.
The large noodle producer had also seen a significant increase in its Q1 revenue, which rose from last year's Q1 revenue of Rp 130.89 billion to Rp 883.35 billion this year.
Indofood's shares were boosted from Rp 82 to Rp 156 per share.(put)
