Low-cost carrier PT Citilink Indonesia is set to increase the number of flights departing from Halim Perdanakusumah Airport in East Jakarta next month
ow-cost carrier PT Citilink Indonesia is set to increase the number of flights departing from Halim Perdanakusumah Airport in East Jakarta next month.
Citilink president director Arif Wibowo said the airline would increase the frequency of routes connecting the capital city to Yogyakarta, Semarang (Central Java), Malang (East Java) and Palembang (South Sumatra) on June 1.
"This is a great opportunity for us because Soekarno-Hatta International Airport is struggling with overcrowding," Arif said in Jakarta on Friday as quoted by tribunnews.com.
He said Citilink would add one more flight to its Jakarta-Yogyakarta, Jakarta-Semarang and Jakarta-Malang services, while the Jakarta-Palembang route would have an additional two flights departing from Halim.
He also said that in the middle of June, the airline planned to increase its Jakarta-Medan and Jakarta-Denpasar services. (nfo)
