Yudhoyono said he was proud of Raeni's accomplishment, and considered her to be one of Indonesia's young achievers.
"Anyone, whether they are from wealthy [families] or from less fortunate ones, can become successful," said Yudhoyono, who was joined by Education and Culture Minister Mohammad Nuh.
Raeni had recently completed her undergraduate degree with a major in accounting and a nearly perfect GPA (grade point average) of 3.96. She attended the university on scholarship, and in high school was also recognized as best graduate. (dic)
