s many as 53 artists of various backgrounds are celebrating the birthday of presidential candidate Joko "Jokowi" Widodo at the Babakan Siliwangi city forest in Bandung, West Java.
Jokowi was born on June 21, 1961, in Surakarta, Central Java.
Tisna Sanjaya, one of the artists, said they had painted 53 different expressions on different canvases in honor of Jokowi's birthday.
'This is our response to the mentality revolution concept put forth by Jokowi,' Tisna said on Saturday.
Vice presidential candidate Jusuf Kalla visited the event and met with the artists.
Tisna said they would auction the paintings and donate the proceeds to the Jokowi-Kalla campaign.(dic)
