young people with a deeper understanding of the importance of mutual understanding and tolerance among followers of different religions.
The event took place June 16-19 and was organized by the Global Peace Foundation (GPF) Indonesia in collaboration with President University
It was the third IMYA event this year. The first event was organized in Bali in 2012 and the second in Makassar in 2013.
This year's event was attended by young people, mostly students, from Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Cambodia, Nepal, India, South Korea, the US, the Philippines, Singapore and Vietnam.
Among the speakers were Mohamed Imran Mohamed Taib of Nanyang Technological University Singapore, Jinsoo Kim of the Global Peace Foundation Asia Pacific, Deputy Religious Affairs Minister Nasaruddin Umar, Jacob Simon of Malaysia's Friendship Group for Inter Religious Service (FGIS) and Ace Tang, CEO of Big Orange Media, Malaysia.
