Director Hanung Bramantyo is set to re-release Soekarno: Indonesia Merdeka (Soekarno: Free Indonesia) on Aug. 14, three days before Independence Day.
He said this release would be an uncut version of the movie.
'Originally, the producer cut 20 minutes of dialogue, which showed Bung Karno's diplomacy skills,' Hanung said.
'The cut scenes will give the film a different nuance,' he said, as quoted by kapanlagi.com on Wednesday.
The re-release follows a court's annulment of a lawsuit filed by Sukarno's daughter Rachmawati Soekarnoputri against the movie house, Multivision Plus (MVP), and Hanung.
The Central Jakarta Commercial Court on Tuesday decided MVP had the right to distribute and promote the movie and the company had not violated any laws during production.
Rachmawati had claimed sole rights to the story.
