How coincidental that this verdict is so close to the end of Boediono'€™s term as vice president.

Jose Christie

The decision to bail out Bank Century, taken by Budi Mulya and others including Vice President Boediono, has been found to be wrong and counter-productive to the nation.

It should not be tolerated and should be prosecuted accordingly. It is simply stealing money from our people!

I pray that when Joko '€œJokowi'€ Widodo finally becomes president, and as a '€œman of the people'€ and a former small businessman and governor of Jakarta '€” who knows firsthand the destructive influence of corruption by lawmakers on Indonesia'€™s economic progress '€” that he will immediately initiate new reforms and credible checks and balances to rein in the unbridled greed of the country'€™s elites; all the way from the very top, right down to the most menial public servant in the most isolated reaches of the archipelago.
