rosecutors have named the former director of Landak regency General Hospital in central Kalimantan, identified only as KR, a suspect in the misappropriation of regency budget funds amounting to Rp 700 million (US$60,312).
'Actually we named KR a suspect two months ago,' Ngabang Prosecutor's Office chief Teguh Wardoyo was quoted by Antara news agency as saying on Tuesday.
Teguh said funds from the 2010 budget, which should have been used for medical services, were distributed to the hospital's permanent and temporary employees without any legal basis.
He said his office would question several employees of the hospital.
He added that the suspect was currently the secretary of the regency's health agency.
