At first sight I never thought it would happen to Malaysia Airlines for a second time in a row. It should be a breaking point for this firm. However, my sorrow goes more to those on board the airplane.
They were absolutely innocent and a hunt for the gunman responsible for having shot it down should necessarily be escalated.
This is not just a problem for the Malaysian and Dutch governments, but for international society, since it was a sort of a consciously planned massacre. The priority must be to bring the killer to judgment.
Some people have stated unjustifiably that it was the destiny of the killed passengers to be victims. That idea is burdensome.
