After a long holiday new students across Jakarta started their first day at school with mixed feelings because on the one hand they would make new friends and have new teachers, but on the other they would have to undergo three days of orientation, which has become synonymous with bullying carried out by senior students on younger ones.

The students'€™ fears of bullying intensified following the recent deaths of two 10th-graders at SMA 3 state senior high school, who were allegedly bullied by several seniors.

Attempts to combat bullying can be helped by teaching children kindness and tolerance.

Songs like '€œBe a Buddy, Not a Bully'€, that can be found on YouTube, can help.

Bullying is the longest running issue that effects and ruins the lives of victims.

If there is something that should be stopped, it is this issue.

I have always heard and seen adults or children who are bullied '€” threatened, hurt, verbally abused, etc. It really hurts to see people get hurt. '€œHaters will say what they want, but their hate will never stop you from chasing your dream.'€ I suggest that as something you could use if you are in trouble.
