Publicly listed PT Timah (TINS), the country's biggest tin miner, booked a 48 percent increase in its net profits to Rp 203 billion (US$17.27 million) in the first half of 2014, as the company took cost efficiency measures on the back of higher tin prices.

The big question is where is the other 48 percent from previous years? This windfall profit is the result of fewer people dipping their hands into the cookie jar because the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has been very active and threatening.
It's not logical that increased efficiency had anything to do with it; otherwise, why did they not increase their efficiency years ago? Why the sudden surge?
