he Prabowo Subianto-Hatta Rajasa presidential ticket'slegal team filed a report on the General Elections Commission (KPU) with theElections Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) for allegedly violating regulations bysending a notice to ask the regency level KPU to open ballot boxes.
The team said this was a violation because the notice was sent on July 25, before the Constitutional Court had resolved the presidential election dispute, according to kompas.com.
"The boxes should not be opened unless there is an order from the Constitutional Court," one of the legal team members, Sahroni, said at the Bawaslu headquarters in Jakarta on Thursday.
Sahroni said the election process was now under the authority of the Court instead of the KPU. Because of this, the KPU had violated the law by asking for the ballot boxes to be opened to retrieve the election documents. (fss)
