our comments on the returning home for Idul Fitri of millions of people, even though they have to face difficult circumstances in doing so, such as traffic congestion or overcrowded public transportation:

The yearly Idul Fitri exodus means a lot to many Muslims in Indonesia, especially to those working far from their hometowns.

Although people have to face difficulties along the way home, it does not restrain them from meeting relatives.

It represents a collective group culture based on solidarity and brotherhood.

This tradition is significant for social cohesion.

It'€™s called mudik. People go back to their hometowns. They want to celebrate Idul Fitri with their families and old friends.

Soon after the prayer, they visit neighbors while asking forgiveness from each other. Although people face difficult circumstances to do so, they continue to perform it every year.

Big Goes

Being together with family on Idul Fitri is a most beautiful moment.

They still love home and do not want to forget it.

You wouldn'€™t need mudik money if you stayed with your family to begin with, instead of flocking to Jakarta to be low- or no-income burdens on society. Stay home.

Work the fields. Become part of the solution and not part of the problem.

For the sake of a better Indonesia, when and if you do return don'€™t bring your friends and relatives with you to find their fame and fortune in Jakarta. It'€™s not going to happen.

If you can'€™t afford to go someplace, don'€™t go. It'€™s as simple as that.
