AKARTA: Veteran comedian Indrodjojo 'Indro Warkop' Kusumonegoro lists scouting as more influential to him than his legendary comedic group, Warkop DKI.
'There are three primary important influences in my life; the first is my family, the second is scouting and the third is Warkop,' Indro told tempo.co in Jakarta.
The 56-year-old, currently one of the main judges in the Stand Up Comedy Indonesia TV competition, said he learned basic life lessons from his family and developed them as a scout.
'Scouting is about soul. I found a high sense of tolerance and concern towards others and the environment through scouting,' Indro said.
Among his achievements as a scout include his selection to represent Indonesia at the 1974 international jamboree in the Philippines.
