our comments on President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono'€™s final state of the nation speech at the House of Representatives and his performance in his 10 years in office:

He did a good job promoting peace abroad and at home.

Rainer Virya Mangala

I'€™m proud of President Yudhoyono.

Tata Sari De Phie

He did a good job, one of the best presidents thus far.

Taco de Vries

Thank you for your hard work Pak Yudhoyono.

He did not seem to be aware of the corruption in his government. People suffered unnecessarily. Yet, we thank him for supporting the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).

His foreign relation policies are indeed admirable, but at the cost to the people at the grassroots level.

Our Pancasila has been left unattended, giving way for the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) to daringly try its luck on our people.

Still, let us thank President Yudhoyono for he has tried his best; though his government was less than cooperative in his efforts to eradicate corruption.

According to President Yudhoyono, progress can be seen from the existence of about 200,000 schools, 3 million teachers and 50 million students across the archipelago.

But I think the President failed to mention the conditions of those 200,000 schools (rundown buildings, broken furniture, leaky roofs, flood-prone classrooms, lack of facilities, etc.)

Come on, give him the credit he deserves. The nation has come a long way since he took office.
