The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) closed on a positive note in Wednesday's final trading session as it rose by 0.36 percent to 5,165.25.
Shares in eight out of 10 sectors strengthened by 4 p.m. on Wednesday, with mining recording the highest growth with a rise of 1.51 percent, kontan.co.id reported.
Behind it were agriculture and infrastructure, which increased by 0.88 percent and 0.77 percent, respectively.
Stocks in the LQ45 index's highest gainers in the afternoon included PT Tempo Inti Media (TMPO), PT Pioneerindo Gourmet International (PTSP) and PT Yulie Sekurindo (YULE).
Meanwhile, PT Indonesian Paradise Property (INPP), PT Merck (MERK) and PT Enseval Putra Megatrading (EPMT) were the index's biggest losers. (nfo)
