A delicacy of wine and food pairings that enhances your culinary experience.

Indonesia'€™s leading wine boutique and lounge, VIN+, in collaboration with PT Jaddi Internasional as the wine importer, will provide a friendly wine dinner on September 11 at VIN+ Arcadia Plaza Senayan, featuring guest chef Mandif Warokka.

Mandif, who is currently executive chef at Teatro Gastroteque restaurant in Bali, will pair each course in his five course meal with specially selected fine wines.

Bite-sized amuse bouche hors d'€™Å“uvre will kick off your evening, which can be enjoyed with Hendri Giraud Esprit.

The award-winning chef will then serve En Terrine. This artisan foie gras will be served with apple gel, caramelized walnut, celery salad and will be paired with Shaw and Smith Sauvignon Blanc 2013.

The next course, Mandif'€™s scallop and prawn dish called '€œFagottini'€, contains lobster essence, caramelized cauliflower and green asparagus, blended with wines from different vintages. For this course, chef Mandif recommends Ruffino Libaio Chardonnay 2010.  

For those familiar with the taste of a pinot noir, the chef will specially serve his blue fin '€œToro'€ tataki, which contains marinated mushroom, burned leaks, braised daikon, shiso oil and oil sauce to your table, to complement the flavor. The dish will be paired with Pascal Jolivet Metis Pinot Noir 2011.

To uncork more delicacy at this VIN+ friendly wine dinner, nothing can beat the pair of M. Chapoutier Gigondas 2010 and Wagyu No. 9+. served with garlic potato mousseline, mushroom croquette, red beet, thyme jus; and perfectly matched with a glass of Gigondas, the full-bodied, luscious tropical fruit wine.  

To close the five course meal, the chef will serve Guanaja chocolate bar (butter scotch ice cream, chocolate cremeaux, rice cryspies and strawberries). This dessert will be paired with Chateau Monteils Sauternes 2007, a wine that balances the sweetness of the dessert with a vibrant acidity and grassy aroma.

Make sure not to leave the venue before trying chef Mandif'€™s Mignardises; sweet desserts to conclude this perfect wine dinner.
