AKARTA: The Indonesian Life Insurance Association (AAJI) said that so far Indonesian life insurance agents had complied with the organization's code of ethics, evidenced by the fact that to date no Indonesian life insurance agency had seen its license revoked by the association.
We revoke the license of any insurance agent who violates our code of ethics. Of all 300,000 insurance agents operating in Indonesia, none of them have had their license revoked, said Hendrisman as quoted by kompas.com.
Hendrisman added that the organization predicted that Indonesia would have 500,000 insurance agents by 2015.
Hendrisman said he hoped that the insurance agents would continue to improve their professionalism in order to maintain the growth of Indonesia's insurance industry
'The agents need to present themselves in a truly professional way. The AAJI feels that it is also the association's responsibility to help boost agent professionalism,' he added.
