For the first time ever, a music festival is set to be held aboard a ship sailing from Singapore

The music festival '€” called It'€™s The Ship '€” will feature dozens of international artists from all over the world.

The highlights include rapper Lil Jon; Dutch trance project Dash Berlin; British dance duo Basement Jaxx; Egyptian trance duo Aly & Fila; and Scottish electro band Chvrches.

Regional artists from across Asia will also perform at the festival, organized by The Livescape Group.

They include Anish Sood from Indonesia; Bangkok Invaders from Thailand; Bass Agents from Malaysia; Bento from Japan; Dualist Enquiry from Singapore and R3 from China.

The voyager that will host the event onboard is the prestigious Royal Caribbean International'€™s Voyager Of The Seas. The ship will set sail from the Marina Bay Cruise Center in Singapore on Nov. 21 and will return to dock on Nov. 25.

On Nov. 23, the ship will stop at the island of Langkawi in Malaysia for an all-out, star-studded beach party hosted by Lil Jon.

'€œThe idea behind It'€™s The Ship is to provide a fresh unique experience for music fans in the region,'€ said Group Chief Executive Officer for The Livescape Group, Muhammad Iqbal.

'€œThis isn'€™t just a normal music festival. What we have done is curate a platform that merges both the relaxed atmosphere of a vacation with the epic experience of a music festival on board one of the world'€™s best cruise liners.'€

Iqbal said that some 3,800 fans were expected to attend the festival. Sixty percent are expected to come from outside of Singapore, from countries such as Australia, Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, Hong Kong and even Europe and the United States.

To attend the festival, partygoers must be prepared to pay between US$430 and $4,000 per person. Those paying the $4,000 fee can enjoy the epic Royal Suite room, which houses a grand piano as part of the luxurious interior.

Ticket prices are also inclusive of main meals, selected non-alcoholic beverages and free usage of most of the ship'€™s facilities. A registration system, housed at itstheship.com, is now in place to encourage a mixed crowd on board the cruise. Registration and cabin sale closes on Nov. 1.

'€œWe are extremely proud to announce our full lineup and we hope the fans are as excited as well. I urge those who have yet to book their cabins to do so soon as all our cabins are selling out extremely fast. This is one event you don'€™t want to miss,'€ Iqbal says.
