AKARTA: Indonesia lost 1-3 to Uzbekistan in their Asian Football Confederation (AFC) U-19 Group B match at the Youth Training Centre in Yangon, Myanmar, on Friday.

Uzbekistan'€™s goals were delivered by Khamdamov Dostonbek in the 19th minute, Urinboev Zabikhillo from the penalty box in the 24th minute and Shukurov Otabek six minutes before the end.

Indonesia scored through Paolo Sitangang in the 56th minute in the match aired live on RCTI.

'€œUzbekistan deserved to win. They played well. We have two more matches. We'€™ll try to optimize our efforts,'€ Paolo was quoted by Antara as saying.

Indonesia is scheduled to play Australia on Sunday, followed with a match against UAE two days later.

The tournament features 16 participants split in four groups.

Host Myanmar is in Group A with Thailand, Yemen and Iran. Group C consists of South Korea, China, Japan and Vietnam while Group D comprises Iraq, North Korea, Qatar and Oman.
