JAKARTA: Ade Rai says he wants to make a movie to raise awareness of the side effects of steroids.

'€œSteroid abuse is just as harmful as drug abuse '€” just as deadly,'€ the bodybuilder said in Bali, as quoted by tribunnews.com this weekend. '€œIn Indonesia, there are already cases of death from blood cancer and
kidney failure, all triggered by steroid use.'€

The athlete said he was inspired by documentary The King of Size, screened at the 8th annual Bali International Film Festival, about a 40-year-old man who took steroids to increase his muscle mass for a
bodybuilding competition.

'€œIt has become a poorly kept secret that many bodybuilders are on drugs,'€ he said.
