AKARTA: Despite the fact that they are already savvy about various forms of financial investment, Indonesia's emerging middle class still lacks understanding of the benefits of insurance products, an analyst says.
According to Citi Indonesia insurance business head Armand Furhad, as quoted by kompas.com, the country's middle-class still does not view insurance as being related to other types of financial investment.
'[Because of this], we are still trying to make insurance products better protectors from other types of financial investments,' he said recently.
Armand went on to say that insurance products could also boost people's overall financial investments.
He added, 'Investors can also transfer all their assets to their offspring through inheritance.'
