Although they are far younger than the Yudhoyonos, there is no indication that [the First Family] is fond of the latest Apple iPhones, Land Rover SUVs or high-end fashion, despite the fact that their parents can certainly afford such things.

The political elite are probably having minor heartburn as their accustomed lifestyles are now being pushed even more so into the limelight as something negative. Hopefully the Jokowi family will stay truly humble.

I hope the new president can strengthen the education system here and set a good example for youth to emulate.
It's no problem to spend your own money to send the kids abroad, but maybe Jokowi didn't expect that he would become a president. It might send the wrong signal to the people; if you send your kids abroad that means you don't trust the education system in the country that you are supposed to lead.
