RT project operator PT MRT Jakarta will be handing over to the city administration 800,000 cubic meters of land excavated for its underground route, according to the company'€™s top official.

'€œWe are still working on the underground route, which will run from the Hotel Indonesia traffic circle in Central Jakarta to the Senayan traffic circle in South Jakarta. We will dig around 800,000 cubic meters of land, which by default is owned by the Jakarta administration,'€ PT MRT Jakarta president director Dono Boestami said Wednesday during a public lecture organized by the Indonesian Heritage Society at Erasmus Huis in South Jakarta.

He said the city administration would use 200,000 cubic meters for a housing project in Rawa Bebek, with more land allocated for a reclamation project in North Jakarta, and it may sell the rest for Rp 100,000 per cubic meter.
