he Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) closed on a negative note in Friday's final trade session, declining by 0.59 percent to finish at 5,073.06.
The Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) data showed that 190 stocks weakened by 4 p.m. on Friday while 91 stocks strengthened and 80 stocks remained stable, kontan.co.id reported.
The volume of transactions was fairly low throughout the closing session, involving 4.1 billion shares worth Rp 4.8 trillion (US$348 million).
Shares in the LQ45 index seeing the highest increase included PT Astra Agro Lestari (AALI), PT Multi Prima (LPIN), PT Bank Mayapada (MAYA) and PT Indo Tambangraya (ITMG).
Meanwhile, PT Merck (MERK), PT Elang Mahkota (EMTK), PT HM Sampoerna (HMSP) and PT Unilever (UNVR) were the index's biggest losers. (nfo)(++++)
