The majesty of Seba'€™s Golden Allure

Renowned fashion designer Sebastian Gunawan is transcending time by combining vintage elements and contemporary cuts in his Golden Allure collection.

Taking inspiration from the Tudor dynasty, Sebastian, popularly known as Seba, translated the glory of the royal English house'€™s era into 80 dresses recently showcased in a fashion show at Mulia Hotel in Senayan, Central Jakarta.

For his Sebastian Red line, the couturier worked hand-in-hand with his wife Cristina Panarese, presenting 70 pieces encompassing sophisticated and exclusive varieties in the finest sort of ready-to-wear collection.

'€œWe are presenting a collection that evokes an era revered for its great minds, creativity and triumph '€” a golden era,'€ Sebastian said.

'€œIn all its richness and regardless of eras, we have captured the ethereal essence of feminine grace, which transcends time.'€

Glamorous and classic designs were created from jacquard and damask, forming various silhouettes, highlighting the royal sense of the collection.

Sebastian offered a wide range of colors for his collection, from jet black to orange and blue to pastels.

The simplicity of a powder pink midi lace dress punctuated with a stately brooch and a trompe l'€™oeil necklace and a shift dress accompanied by a pearl-studded sling party bag is ideal for women who want a simple look that is nonetheless in vogue.

Keeping in the vein of simplicity, a pastel short dress with a jacket in a similar shade, a midi dress arranged in ruffles made of flashy fabric and a sleeveless knee-length black dress with a bow and a brooch on the waist were further highlights of the show.

In another section, Sebastian and Panarese presented conical bustier cuts that met a square neckline, a net patterned cape in bright colors embellished by pearls and opulent pearls in rich shades of blue to adorn golden glimmer dresses, gracing the majestic epoch of the Golden Allure collection.

'€œThis visual indulgence of deep lush hues and historical references is refreshed with the insertion of soothing pastels and contemporary lines,'€ Sebastian said.

During the show, jumpsuits were also introduced in fine finesse. A bluish gray loose jumpsuit that created the illusion of a long dress and a red jumpsuit with a dark waist cincher, all  used with ruff collars in the same colors, were perfect for those looking for a combination of comfort, playfulness and elegance in an outfit.

Sebastian also offered various silhouettes for the long dresses, such as a white trumpet dress with a playful black bow as the belt and a black sheath dress with pockets featuring a black bow on the chest. Any woman who wore such designs would definitely grab everyone'€™s attention at a party.

Sebastian also showcased 10 wedding gowns under his Sebastian Sposa line.

The extravagant wedding gown collection used silk, organza and brocade. The looks, all in white, were enhanced with the use of hair nets, shoulder nets and simple hair pieces.

Any bride donning such a regal wedding dress would be very confident and happy as she walked down the aisle.

All in all, the Golden Allure collection shows Sebastian'€™s consistency in producing the finest form of classy outfits for modern women.
