iponegoro IV Military Command chief Maj. Gen. Sunindyo is being replaced by Maj. Gen. Bayu Purwiyono, who previously served as the Army Chief of Staff's logistic assistant. Sunindyo, a former commando, is to be posted as a lecturer at the military training school.
'I will be here for keroncong music. I will look for sponsors to preserve the music,' Sunindyo, who has a special interest in keroncong music preservation, said during the handover ceremony held at the Diponegoro Military Command headquarters in Semarang.
Commenting on his new assignment, Bayu said he would continue the existing programs.
'My main job is to secure Central Java and Yogyakarta,' he said.(dic)(+++)
