n his final leg of a nine-day overseas trip, President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo arrived in Brisbane, Australia, on Friday afternoon to attend the annual G20 summit, a prestigious grouping of the world's 20 biggest economies.
Aside from attending the summit, Jokowi's itinerary in Brisbane will include a bilateral meeting with Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott, and a visit to the Queensland University of Technology where he will meet Indonesian nationals residing in Australia.
During the Brisbane visit, the President is accompanied by First Lady Iriana, daughter Kahiyang Ayu, Foreign Minister Retno LP Marsudi, Cabinet Secretary Andi Widjajanto, Finance Minister Bambang Brodjonegoro and foreign affairs advisor Rizal Sukma of the Centre for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS).
After transiting in Denpasar, Bali, from Naypyitaw, Myanmar, Jokowi's entourage consists of fewer than 40 members. Jokowi's predecessor Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono used to travel with at least 90 officials, aides and journalists.
Jokowi will arrive home in Jakarta on Nov. 16. (***)
