AKARTA: The KLa Project is launching a new album titled Grand KLakustik to celebrate its 26th anniversary. Songs on the album were taken from the band's 'Grand KLakustik Concert' last year, which was organized to commemorate the rockers' quarter-century in the music industry.
'There were no retakes in recording the album,' guitarist Romulo 'Lilo' Radjadin said, as quoted by tempo.co. 'It's all live.'
Pianist Adi Adrian said the album featured new arrangements of the band's greatest hits. 'The songs here may be the same as our previous compilation albums, but the atmosphere and the message that we're trying to convey is different,' Adi said.
A total of 26 musicians took part in making the album, including Tohpati, Budi Bidhun and Iwan Hasan. They also collaborated with Glen Fredly, Badai Kerispatih, Tata Janeeta and Angel Pieters.
