he earthquake measuring 7.3 on the Richter Scale that jolted North Sulawesi, Gorontalo and North Maluku on Saturday, caused no fatalities but left a hotel in Manado, North Sulawesi, slightly damaged.
National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) spokesman Sutopo Purwo Nugroho said on Sunday the quake caused only slight damage to the walls of the seventh floor of the Lion Hotel.
Meanwhile, an earthquake measuring 5 on the Richter Scale jolted Banggai regency, Central Sulawesi, on Sunday at 01:56 a.m. local time.
The quake's epicenter was located around 58 km northeast of the Banggai Islands and at a depth of 10 kilometers below sea level, the Meteorological, Climatology and Geophysics Agency said as quoted by Antara.
