Careful lift Careful lift: Workers with terminal operator PT Berlian Jasa Terminal Indonesia (BJTI) monitor the loading and unloading of containers on Wednesday. BJTI, a subsidiary of state-owned seaport operator PT Pelindo 3, won the distinction of being the world’s most productive container terminal after handling 1 million 20-foot equivalent units (TEUs) as of November this year, despite using just 7.5 hectares of container yards handling 133,000 TEUs each. The achievement was almost equaled by Malta Freeport in Malta, which handles 125,000 TEUs of containers per hectare.
