AKARTA: The vocalist of pop band Ungu, Sigit Purnomo Syamsuddin Said, or Pasha, has denied rumors that the band will split up.
'We're not splitting up; we're still solid and will keep working,' he said as quoted by kapanlagi.com.
Rumor has it that since Pasha intends to run in the Palu mayoral election, the group would split up.
Guitarist Enda said that even if Pasha became mayor, they would not stop performing. 'As long as there's no law that forbids mayors from singing, we'll keep performing,' he said.
Currently, the band is working on their latest album, Mozaik, which is slated for release next year.
