A motorcyclist was found dead with multiple stab wounds at Jl. Margonda Raya in Depok, West Java, on Sunday.
Beji police detective head Adj. Comr. Syah Johan revealed that from the information gathered from witnesses, the victim was riding his motorcycle alone around 3:30 a.m. when four people on two motorcycles approached him and tried to steal his motorcycle.
'The victim fought back, but the robbers stabbed him to death before they fled the scene with the victim's motorcycle,' Syah Johan said on Sunday as quoted by tribunnews.com.
'We took the body to Kramat Jati Police Hospital. We found no identification on the victim and we are still trying to locate his next of kin,' Syah continued. (***)
