Hotels gear up to give guests memorable Valentine'€™s Day

A

s Valentine'€™s Day is looming for Jakartans, many people are planning to celebrate it in the city'€™s upscale hotels.

Maria, a 27-year-old insurance company employee, for example, usually celebrates the day at a hotel with her boyfriend, a tradition they have kept up since graduating college.

'€œAside from presenting unique foods, hotels are great places to celebrate Valentine'€™s Day because restaurants and cafes are softly lit, creating a romantic ambience,'€ she told The Jakarta Post.

Myriam, 26, is another Jakartan who enjoys celebrating Valentine'€™s Day at a hotel.

Just like Maria, Myriam thinks hotels offer convenience and an intimate atmosphere. '€œThe relatively quiet atmosphere in a hotel allows me and my boyfriend to talk about private matters in a comfortable way,'€ she said.

Special offers

To cater to the needs of Jakartans like Maria and Myriam, a number of hotels in Jakarta have prepared special Valentine'€™s Day offers, focusing on food and beverages and stay packages.

The Dharmawangsa Hotel Jakarta, for example, is offering an impressive Valentine'€™s dinner menu on Feb. 14 in a package called '€œJourney of Love'€.
